This policy explains the cookies and similar technologies used on the websites operated by the FABRIX project:
It complements our Privacy Policy, which explains how we handle personal data generally.
A cookie is a small text file that a website asks your browser to store on your device. It allows the site to recognise your browser on a later page or visit. Similar technologies, such as your browser's local storage, serve comparable purposes and are covered by this policy where we use them.
The project website and the platform use Matomo, an open-source analytics tool that we host ourselves at stats.daysplit.com. It tells us how many people visit and which pages they read, so that we can improve the content produced by the project.
Matomo runs in cookieless mode: it sets no cookies and stores nothing on your device. It records the page you visited, the site that referred you and basic information about your browser, and uses them only to produce aggregate audience figures.
Matomo is self-hosted: the data stays on infrastructure operated for the project. It is not shared with advertising networks, it is not used for profiling or advertising, and it is not sold.
Because nothing is stored on your device for audience measurement, there is no cookie banner to accept or refuse.
Signing in to platform.fabrixproject.eu stores a small number of values in your browser's local storage: the tokens that keep you signed in, and which organisation you last had open. These are not cookies and are not sent to any third party, but they are stored on your device. They are required for the platform to work; clearing them signs you out.
learn.fabrixproject.eu sets no cookies and stores nothing in your browser. It loads no third-party scripts, fonts or trackers. Video recordings are embedded from YouTube only after you click play — until then, no request is made to YouTube and no cookie is set by it.
The only data any FABRIX site keeps on your device is the platform sign-in information described above.
You can accept, refuse or delete cookies and site data at any time through your browser settings. Every major browser lets you block storage for a specific site, delete what is already stored, or refuse it entirely. Doing so has no effect on the project website or the Learning Hub, which store nothing. On the platform it will sign you out, because that stored session is what keeps you signed in.
We update this policy when the tools we use change. The date at the top shows when it was last revised.
